Staircase Stone

Granite & Marble Staircases, Built To Last

A staircase sees constant footfall, so the material needs to combine strength with safety and good looks. We cut staircase steps, risers and treads to your exact site drawing at our own facility, with anti-skid nosing available on every stone type.

Why Natural Stone

Durable, Elegant — And Sourced Direct

Natural stone — granite, marble or sandstone — combines strength, safety and good looks in a way tiles can't match; unlike tiles, a solid stone step resists chipping at the edges for years. Because we cut every step at our own facility and deliver onsite ourselves, there's no middleman adding cost or delay to a staircase order.

Anti-skid nosing is available across every stone type we carry, for added safety on daily-use stairs.

Care & Maintenance

Keeping Your Staircase Safe & Looking New

Stone staircases need very little upkeep, but a few habits keep the anti-skid nosing and polish performing well. Sweep or vacuum regularly to keep grit from scratching the surface underfoot, and clean with a pH-neutral stone cleaner rather than acidic or abrasive products.

For marble stairs, wipe up spills promptly since marble is more porous than granite, and reseal polished stone stairs roughly every 12–18 months to maintain slip resistance and shine.

Daily

Sweep Or Vacuum Grit Away

Prevents loose dust and grit from scratching the polished surface.

Weekly

Mop With A Neutral Stone Cleaner

Avoid bleach, ammonia or vinegar-based products on polished treads.

Yearly

Reseal Every 12–18 Months

Maintains slip resistance and shine on high-traffic flights.

Staircase Stone FAQ

Questions We Hear Most

Which stone is best for a staircase — granite or marble?

Granite is more scratch and slip resistant, making it ideal for daily-use staircases, while marble offers a more premium look best suited to lower-traffic or feature staircases with an anti-skid finish.

How is the staircase stone made slip-resistant?

We provide anti-skid grooved or flamed finishes on the front edge of each step (nosing), significantly reducing slip risk on granite, marble and sandstone stairs.

What sizes do you supply for staircase steps and risers?

Steps (treads) and risers are cut to your exact site drawing, with tread depths typically between 250mm-300mm and riser heights per your staircase design.

Can outdoor steps be made from natural stone?

Yes, sandstone and flamed granite are commonly used for outdoor steps and garden staircases for their slip resistance and weathering ability.

How long does staircase stone installation take?

Once steps are measured and cut at our facility, onsite fitting typically takes 2–4 days for a standard residential staircase, depending on the number of flights and whether risers are also being clad.

Do you supply both steps and risers, or just the treads?

We supply and fit both treads (the horizontal step surface) and risers (the vertical face between steps), cut and finished as a matched set for a consistent look.

What edge and nosing profiles are available for staircase steps?

Bullnose, bevel, and grooved anti-skid nosing are the most common profiles for staircase steps, chosen based on the staircase's traffic level and the overall design of the space.

Do you deliver staircase stone outside Bangalore?

Yes — alongside our Bangalore showroom, we deliver staircase stone across most major cities in Karnataka and Kerala, as well as Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Pune and Mumbai, with the same factory-direct pricing and onsite support.
